Introduction

Welcome to my new blog! My name is Chloe Diehl, and I will be posting updates on my work in the Young Scholars PATHS-UP Program administrated in Rice University.

Before getting into anything, allow me to introduce myself:

I am currently a rising senior in Lamar High School who has a growing interest in biochemistry and the medical field. At my school, I am huge about the clubs that I have a presidential role in which are the Lamar Asian American Association and Lamar Rock Climbing Club. In addition to being a student, I am also am big into sports such as swimming, waterpolo, rock climbing and cycling.

When I am not doing sports or doing school, I love to help out in the kitchen and make many different dishes (specifically Filipino and Greek dishes since I have family from those parts of the world). Additionally, I love spending time with my friends and going on memorable little adventures with them. In other words, if I am not at school, I just love sharing moments with others.

The reason why I joined this program was because I wanted to get a taste of the "Rice experience" and see the computer science and engineering approaches that help make devices for health care.

Anyway, I am excited to learn more in the program, and I can't wait to share my experience with everyone during this unique journey!
